Hollow Knight: Silksong is the second game by Team Cherry (that’s us!) and the full-scale sequel to Hollow Knight.Īnd Pwoarrrrrrowza! if this one hasn’t been a struggle to keep under-wraps! Hidden behind the scenes, Hornet’s gigantic adventure has been growing (and growing and growing!) for well over a year now, with the very first pieces coming together right after the original PC release of Hollow Knight on Feb 24th 2017.Īlmost from the very start, Hornet’s adventure was intended to take place in a new land, but as we dove in, it quickly became too large and too unique to stay a DLC, as initially planned. Captured and brought to an unfamiliar land, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak. Fixed issue where closing the brightness menu in-game would in some cases restart the gameīecome the Princess Knight As Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, adventure through a whole new kingdom haunted by silk and song. When steam prompts you to keep or overwrite your files it is important to choose the correct one carefully (which will depend on your own situation). Cross-platform users who manually migrated their save files between platforms may have conflicting files.Windows users should not need to do anything, except:.MacOS and Linux users will need to play the game once for Steam to upload their existing local save files to cloud storage. These changes will replace the MacOS and Linux cloud save locations, and all platforms will use the existing Windows save location. In order for your save files to sync properly you may need to open them up in-game once and then save and quit, so Steam triggers the upload. Please take care to backup your save files from the locations below before attempting to sync with Steam Cloud. This is planned to occur on Monday, 15th of August at 05:00 (UTC). Soon we'll be making some changes in order to support cross-platform cloud saves between Windows, MacOS, and Linux (including the Steam Deck)!
